About the Founder

Experienced law enforcement leadership, tactical operations, training, and public safety planning.

Benke Security Consulting was founded by Stan Benke, who brings extensive law enforcement leadership experience as a Lieutenant with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Omaha, Nebraska. Stan has 18 years of law enforcement experience, including 12 years serving on the agency’s SWAT Team, where he gained extensive experience in tactical operations, critical incident response, and high-risk security planning.

Throughout his career, Stan has served as an instructor in multiple law enforcement and emergency response disciplines, including firearms, patrol rifle, shotgun, defensive tactics, Taser, tactical medical response, active shooter response, chemical munitions, OC spray, CPR/AED, and other public safety training areas.

Stan also serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Nebraska State Fraternal Order of Police, where he continues to advocate for law enforcement professionals and public safety issues across the state.

His professional experience includes extensive work in courthouse security, event security coordination, VIP and dignitary protection, crowd control and crowd management, emergency preparedness, and threat awareness.

Through Benke Security Consulting, Stan uses that experience to help businesses, churches, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations identify risks, strengthen preparedness, and develop realistic security plans that are practical, professional, and effective.
